The examination of soil microflora in soils under different forest vegetation in degradated forest of South-Eastern Serbia (Yugoslavia) have been conducted. The result of the analysis have shown that Calcocambisol under Fagetum montanum association and eutric cambisol under Querco petraea carcinetum betuli Rud association have rich microflora and that their potential and effective fertility is preserved. Only the distric cambisols under Fagetum montanum Jov. association have stronger degradation, as the presence of microorganisms is significantly lower than under preserved beech forest in Miroc and Crni vrh complex.
