[Possibilities of substituting imported soybean oil meal with peas and rapeseed oil meal from Yugoslav production in pig fattening]

The research was carried out into the nutritive value of imported soybean meal on the one hand and field peas and rapeseed meal of Yugoslav origin on the other hand, and into their effect on the carcass production and quality in fattening pigs. The following parameters were monitored: nutritive value of certain feedstuffs (the content of dry matter, organic matter, crude ash, crude proteins, fats, fibres, calcium, phosphorus, and essential amino acids), composition and nutritive value of the examined diets, the pigs' average daily weight gain, the average daily feed consumption, feed conversion ratio of the pigs and their slaughter measurements.
