In the 1982-1986 period the investigation was carried out into the effect of seasonal temperatures on the number of live-born piglets with Swedish landrace sows that produced 10 or more litters. The sows were divided into separate groups, to those inseminated during the cold period, those inseminated during the warm and those inseminated during other periods of the year. On the basis of the achieved results it could be concluded that seasonal temperatures in the continental part of Yugoslavia did not have a significant influence on the number of live-born piglets.
