[Effects of presowing tillage methods upon the yield and productivity of sugarbeet]

This paper examines the best of the usually applied methods of presowing tillage. The two-year examination monitored the effects of 7 types of presowing tillage upon the macrostructure of soil, sowing depth, field germination, sprouting of the first leaves, time of raw spacing, dynamics of soil moisture in some of these types, dynamics of root and leaf growth, the number of plants after thinning, the number of plants at harvest time, yield of root and leaves, percentage of sugar, biological sugar content and harmful nitrogen levels.
