The paper presents the results of the investigation into the effect of bearing branches and the age of bearing wood upon the chemical and biophysical characteristics of the Golden Delicious apple cultivar. The following has been investigated: the content of total and reducing sugars, dry matter, fruit weight, fruit mass and the number of normal seeds in fruits.
