The investigation into the working of the fertility genopotentials of some Yugoslav and foreign alfalfa varieties on green mass yields and feeding

In the experiments carried out from 1981 to 1985, some fifteen varieties of alfalfa have been examined on their feeding values and green mass yields. Out of these fifteen investigated varieties the best results have been achieved with Slavonka and OS-66 from the domestic Yugoslav) varieties, and Europa and Elga from the foreign varieties. The highest yields in feeding units had Slavonka (11,865 kg/ha) and OS-66 (11,753 kg/ha), being of domestic varieties, followed by Europa (11,456.8 kg/ha) and Elga (11,211.2 kg/ha) of foreign varieties. Also, new varieties K-23 and OS-70 have shown good results.
