Effect of vine rootstocks on the yield, mass and quality of grapes of Vranac and Cardinal varieties in the Cemovsko Field [Yugoslavia]

The paper presents the results obtained by investigating the effect of vine rootstock upon yield, mass and quality of grapes. The highest average yield of grapes with the Vranac variety was obtained on the rootstock, Richter 99, while the lowest on the rootstock, Rupestris du Lot. The Kardinal veriety produced the highest average yield on the rootstock Kober 5 BB and the lowest on the Rupestris du Lot. Mass of grapes with the Vranac variety was the highest on the rootstock Richter 99 and the lowest on the Ruperstris du Lot while with the Kardinal variety the mass of grapes was the highest on the Ruperstris du Lot and the lowest on the Kober 5 BB. The highest average sugar content in must of Vranac and Kardinal varieties was on the roostock Richter 99. The highest average acid content in must of the Vranac variety was on the rootstock Richter 99 and the lowest on the Rupestris du Lot. The highest average on the roostock Ruperstris du Lot and the lowest on Richter 99.
