Reviews the production and marketing of vegetable crops, onions, peanuts and the traditional root crops in Barbados. Crop diversification continued to be the major focus of the agricultural sector - of significant importance was the large plantings of flowers and fruits by the estates. In total some 43 acres of flowers and 34 acres of fruits were planted.
