The experiment was conducted to find out suitable methods of Mukhi kachu cultivation in hilly areas of Bangladesh to replace the hazardous traditional tribal cultivation practices. Furrow + no mulch, furrow + mulch, dibbling + no mulch and dibbling + mulch were the treatments. The present study indicates the highly favourable influence of mulching on the germination percentage, growth and yield of Mukhi kachu
