Selection of the best regression equation : the case of fuelwood demand modeling in Bangladesh

The study tested several regression equations in linear form to select the best regression equation in modeling household fuelwood demand with primary data collected from two districts of Bangladesh. The regression analysis showed that price of fuelwood, monthly household income, and price of other fuels had significant effects on monthly household fuelwood demand. On the other hand, prices of bamboo, kerosene oil, and jute sticks did not have a significant effect on household fuelwood demand.
