The paper mainly deals with the application of Ruttan's induced innovation model in Bangladesh. In this paper it is argued that Ruttan's conceptual model may be partially applicable in the present context of Bangladesh. For the generation and diffusion of modern technology at the grass root level a two way flow chart has been suggested. It is concluded that the agricultural research system should be guided by the farmers field conditions and there should be a regular feed back between farmers and scientific research institutions for the innovation and diffusion of modern technology.
