Andrographolide content in leaves and stems of andrographis paniculata at different phases of Growth

The andrographolide (active principle) content of the leaf and stem of Andrographis paniculata at different stages of growth was determined. The maximum accumulation of the constituent was found in the leaves and the best time of accumulation was during the period of emergence of the inflorescence axis. Statistical analysis of the data reveals the result as highly significant.
