System of daily information DISKOT PC in cattle herds

In the work of zootechnicians, veterinary surgeons and inseminators, accurate and full records of all operations that are carried out including daily updated instructions are necessary. Their attention must be focused on single animals, they must select them and make decisions based on the most important data that are to be found in manuals for work directly in the stable. The system DISKOT PC - a set of programmes based on tested breeding and veterinary methods, and on the processing of information on personal computers by users, fulfils all these requirements. Simple input data, well-arranged output information and wide analysis of results in numeric and graphic outputs enable to follow weight increases in heifers and in animals fattening, selection of animals for reproduction, records of the sexual cycle and mating at a suitable time, systematic cure of diseased animals and animals requiring special care, elimination of milk from cows cured by antibiotics and other drugs effecting milk quality, and other measures leading to high quality of production, effective utilization of the reproduction capacity of a herd and thus to decreased costs and increased profit. This system also makes it possible for managers to control the fulfilment of duties and to analyse achieved results.
