Experimental equipment for the drying of material in a thick inert ventilated layer is composed of the pneumatic distribution system and the drying chamber. In the drying chamber there are four boxes with the internal dimensions 555x370x200 mm. The liquid seals prevent the circulation of the drying air outside the box. The weighing of boxes with the samples of dried material is carried out without taking the boxes out of the drying chamber at an interrupted circulation of air in the chamber. A general mathematical model of the convection drying of material is applied in the case of a thick inert ventilated layer and it is later adjusted with view to the loss of heat and heat permeability through the walls of the experimental drying chamber.
