Logit models for land capability classes in the Philippines
1990
Gregorio, M.C.
The results of this study show that logit models can be developed: a) to identify significant variables that affect land capability class and b) to determine the land capability class of a landscape unit based on a few factors like slope, elevation, soil fertility and present land-use/vegetative cover. The application of the recommended logit equations in the land classification/sub-classification program would not only speed up and make the work much less expensive but it would also make the classification work objective as opposed to the present procedure which are highly subjective and liable to extraneous factors and biases.
