Efficacy of six fungicides against brown rot gummosis of calamansi (Citrus madurensis Lour.)

Of the six fungicides tested for efficacy against brown rot gummosis of calamansi trees the most effective were aluminum ethyl phosphide (Aliette), Chlorothalonil aagrunol (Daconil), and copper hydroxide (Kocide), all three had comparable effects and were significantly better than manganese (Maneb), copper oxychloride (Vitigran Blue), and Manzineb (Sandofan). Highest disease infection was noted in the control (untreated trees).
