Influence of some natural factors on green apple aphid (Aphis pomi Deg.) reduction on apple trees

The impact of known and unknown factors on green apple aphid colonies on apple trees were investigated. Observations were carried out under field condition on isolated and non-isolated apple twigs in an orchard in Central Poland. It was found that in isolated colonies the number of aphids increased markedly and systematically during a relatively long time. At the same time on non-isolated twigs, after an initial increase, continuous reduction up to disappearance of this pests was observed
