The susceptibility of 7 cultivars and 4 breeding lines of spring barley to infestation with Drechslera sorokiniana was investigated in 1988-90. The infested material was applied on the surface of kernels. The estimated criteria of the susceptibility were pathogenic index values loss of plants and grain yield. The Ars cultivar and breeding lines NAD 785 proved to be less susceptible to the infection by D. sorokiniana. However breeding lines NAD 685 and POB 894 were particularly susceptible
