Effect of avoparcin on dairy cow performance during the summer

An experiment on Black-and-White cows given the Avoparcin at 50 mg dose in diet was carried out. The increase of milk yield by 5.4 percent and feed conversion efficiency by 5 percent in the cows given the Avoparcin supplemented diets was stated. No effect of Avoparcin on the milk protein and fat content was observed
