Threshold values of the content of Zn extracted with 1M HCl for nutritional needs of sugar beets and red clover were studied. The optimal Zn content in soil has been calculated substituting an optimal content of Zn in plant into the equation derived from the regression and multiple correlation between the Zn content in plants and in soil
