Nutritive value of feed and ration balancing for breeding sheep

An investigation was conducted to analyze the nutritive value of feeds most frequently used for sheep feeding in Yugoslavia and to give recommendations for ration balancing for sheep in different production phases. The investigation was conducted in the course of 1987, 1988 and 1989. The following feeds were examined: alfalfa hay (n=10), silage corn (n=13), meadow hay (n=10), grass-clover mixture hay (n=13) and a concentrate (n=10). The feeds originated from different parts of the country.
