Quantitative and qualitative relationships of acid and neural mucins in pig stomach mucosa
1989
Aleksi , Z. | Knezevic, M. (Veterinarski fakultet, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
Histochemical methods were used to determine the distribution of acid and neutral mucins in the cardia, fundus and pylorus of healthy swine. Mucosubstances were determined by a semi-quantitative method used at three levels, such as the level of superfacial and foveolar epithelium, and the level of glandular tubules. The difference was noticed in terms of the presence and the amount of acid or neutral mucosubstances in different regions of the stomach and at different levels.
