The effect of numerous adjuvants at various concentrations (0.05, 0.1 and 0.2%) on the efficacy of a low concentration of Rovral (iprodion) 0.05%, Carben VL (carbendazim) 0.1% and Tilt (propiconazol) 0.1% were studied to control Botrytis cinerea and Septoria apiicola in vitro. Good results were obtained when Carben VL (0.1%) was used in combination with adjuvants to control S. apiicola. 'Atplus' 230, 257, 265 and 206 were the best adjuvants, while 'Atplus' 201 and 411F, Ev 484-33/1 and Ev 484-33/5 gave a negative effect. The addition of adjuvants to Tilt (0.1%) improved control of S. apiicola. From all the adjuvants tested, the 'Atplus' 257, 230, 258, 265, 206 and 411F gave the highest efficacy. The efficacy of Rovral (0.05%) against B. cinerea was strongly enhanced by addition of all adjuvants. Within all the adjuvants tested, Ev 484-33/4, 'Atplus' 201, 459, 265, Ev 484-33/6, 'Atplus' 257, Ev 484-33/7, 'Atplus' 206, Ev 484-33/1 and Ev 484-33/2 were the most effective. There is a linear relationship between the high efficacy of the fungicides and the concentration of adjuvants. The highest concentration of adjuvants (0.2%) gave the highest efficacy for the fungicides, but with some exceptions.
