The present work searches the effect of different density of camomile plants of the cultivar Bona on biomass production and yield and structure of stands before individual harvests of the drug of camomile. Comparing the yields of drug of camomile in 1987, 1988, and 1989, no marked differences in the production of floral heads of plants grown at different density were confirmed in the field experiment. Different row spacing means different number of plants on unit of area. The action of spare and control mechanisms in stands affected the formation of relatively equal quantity of biomass. Values of average weight of plants and number of heads per plants were characteristic for different height of plants grown at different density. No statistically significant difference was noted with average weight of heads of plants of different density.
