Effect of Boron and Cu on growth, yield and solasodin content of Solanum khasianum Clarke

Effect of B and Cu through leaves of Solanum khasianum was studied at the glass house of the Cimanggu Experimental Garden, Bogor. The experiment was designed as a completely randomized arranged factorially with three replications. The factors assessed were B at the concentrations of 0, 4.5, 9.0, 13.5 and 18.0 ppm and Cu at the concentrations of 0, 6.5, 13.0 and 19.5 ppm. Both B and Cu were applied in H3BO3 and CuSO4.5H2O respectively. Seedlings were planted in plastic pots of 35 cm in diameter and 37 cm in height, containing dry weight of plant and solasodin content of fruits at the yellow stage of maturity. Meanwhile B treatment and the interaction between B and Cu did not significantly affect any parameters assessed.
