Survey and study properties of the bacteria streptomyces isolated from soil of northern governorates in Iraq

Twenty one soil samples were collected with five replicas to each region covered by this study. The isolation of (160) pure strain of the genus streptomyces, and their environmental, morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics were studied. It was found that all isolated strains were able to grow in the medium with (PH) ranged from (5-9), the results also revealed the presence of four types of spores and these were: the smooth, the wary, the hairy and the spiny spores
