A study of soil mycoflora at date palm plantations in Iraq

A total of (118) fungal species belonging to (37) genera have been isolated and identified, out of them, (15) species have been recorded for the first time to the Iraqi soil mycoflora. The study revealed that soils at date palm plantation were rich in their mycoflora and supporting a variety of fungi, the most dominant genera were, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Mucor and Alternaria
