The main objective of this study was to determine the reason which cause the low germination percentage of "imported Myrobalan" seeds (Prunus cerasifera) in Iraq. This study was carried out also to evaluate the effects and interactions of hard seed coat (endocarp) stratification period, and gibberellic acid (GA3) on the seeds germination and seedling growth of "Myrobalan" plum and the local plum "Hagi Ahmed" (Prunus domestica)
