A study of two annual applications of copper biocides to determine copper levels in the soil of coffee plant materials in areas prone to bacterial blight of coffee, showed significant increase in EDTA of extractable copper and total copper in subsoils and top soils. There was an increase in copper concentration in the leaves but low concentrations were observed in other parts of the plant including coffee beans
