The yield potential 34 progenies which were planted at 5 sites differed greatly; ranging from 85 to 184 kg FFB per palm per year. The pooled data over sites indicated the presence of Progeny x Site interaction. However, the bulk of the interaction item was remainder mean squares rather than heterogenity of regressions which has a predictive value. Two high yielding progenies had varying regression coefficient (b) values but the stability parameter, Sd 2, was high. Eleven progenies had zero Sd 2 and the b equal to 1 or b less then 1. However, the mean performance of these eleven progenies was lower than the best progenies. Progeny x Year interaction was also investigated but it was largely absent. Heritability estimates for FFB, bunch number and average bunch weight were 0.02, 0.08 and 0.04 respectively
