Effect of nitrogen fertilizer level on the nutritive value of dried potatoes in a diet for broiler ducks

An experiment on 240 Pekin ducks fattened from 4 up to 8 week of life was carried out. The effect of a nitrogen fertilization at dose of 40-200 kg of N per 1 ha on the nutritive value of dried potato flakes was investigated. A beneficial effect of the nitrogen fertilization (80-200 kg of N per 1 ha) on feed protein content as well as on feed intake, feed conversion efficiency and weight gain in the fattened ducks was stated
