Variations in sheep colostrum composition

Effect of feeding level on colostrum and milk composition in Polish Merino and Polish Longwool Sheep ewes was estimated. The milk samples taken in 18-24 hours after parturition and in 25-31 days of lactation were analysed. The significant higher protein content in the milk of Merino ewes than in milk of Longwool ones was stated. Effect of feeding level on milk protein but not fat content in Polish Merino ewe milk was observed
