Calf rearing with acidified colostrum

An experiment on 16 calves reared from 4 up to 80 days of life was carried out. The control group was fed whole milk up to 21 days of life, the experimental group was given fermented colostrum up to 13 days of life. All calves were fed powdered skim milk from 22 up to 80 days of life. No incidence of diarrhoea in calves was observed. The fermented colostrum as a feed for reared calves was recommended
