Effect of energy and protein diet levels on carcass quality and tissue compositions

Effect of diet containing 80 or 120 percent of energy and 75 percent of protein on pigs during the fattening was investigated. The positive correlation between the diet energy level and the fat content in loin, ham and liver of pigs was stated. Carcass lean content was negatively correlated with diet energy level and positively correlated with diet protein level. No significant effect of protein content in diet on tissue chemical composition was stated
