The 3-year field investigations were carried out on soil developed from sands and/or from loess. It has been found the growth of the number of weeds by 1 plant on the area of 1 sq. m resulted in a drop of the yield of tubers by 0.12 t from hectare, whereas the growth of air-dry matter of weeds by 1 g on the same area led to a yield decrement on both soil kinds by about 0.06 t from hectare
