Laboratory experiments on washing ions NH4 sub (+) and NO3 sub (-) from different mineral soils

In laboratory experiments it was stated, that during washing out caused by water, in three different soils, there were more nitrates than ammonia nitrate. The inverse effect was observed when potassium chloride solution was applied and when preliminary soil liming was used (more ammonium nitrate). The largest losses of nitrogen compounds were found for soils with the lowest content of humus and mineral colloids
