Activity of selected glycolytic enzymes and aminotransferases in the liver, kidneys and MLD of pig during transport

An experiment on German Landrace and German Landrace x Duroc pigs transported for 300 km during 6 hours was carried out. The activity of aldolase, glucose-6-phosphate isomerase (G6PI), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate and alanine aminotransferases (AspAT and AlaAt) and the total protein content in the homogenates of liver, kidneys and musculus longissimus dorsi was determined. The transport stress caused a decrease of aldolase, LDH, AspAt and AlaAT activity as well as protein content in the liver, kidneys and muscles of pigs
