[Application of the universal method to determination of fertilization needs of sugar beets]

In the years 1977-80 several dozens of close field experiments with nitrogen, potassium and magnesium were carried out. The experiments most often were started in the second year after applied manure. The samples of cultivable layer of soil (0-20 cm) from field for sugar beet breeding were collected in early spring and the availability components were determined. The doses of presowing fertilizers in every experiments and every years were fixed on the base of the analysis results. Content of sugar in the roots was determined by a polarographic method
