Influence of Alar on the quality and quantity of sour cherry yield

Sour cherry of English Morello and Nefris cvs were sprayed with 0.3 and 0.6 percent Alar solutions 2 weeks after bloom. It caused higher cropping in case of Nefris cv. and earlier ripening as well as improved colouring and easy separation of berry from the stem in case of both cultivars. Banning of Alar registration prevent implementation of the results into commercial orchards
