Effect of potassium fertilization on the yields and mineral composition of selected grass and small-grain legume species in a pot experiment
1988
Krawczyk, Z. (Instytut Uprawy Nawozenia i Gleboznawstwa, Pulawy (Poland))
The reaction of 2 grasses and 2 legumes to K fertilization was compared in a pot experiment on slightly loamy sand and loamy sand. Bromegrass responded most vigorously to K application. The responses of orchard grass and red clover were much weaker and the yield increase in alfalfa was slight. Heavy K fertilization raised K content in plant tissues which was associated with a decrease in N, Ca and Mg content in the plants
