Jaszczolt, E. (Instytut Przemyslu Cukrowniczego, Warszawa (Poland))
76 field experiments were carried out in the period 1977-85 with macroelement (N, P, K, Mg) fertilization of sugar beet. These experiments were carried out under different climate and soil conditions, on soils of the different agricultural complexes. The results showed that a rise of the content of available nitrogen in soils caused the biological and technological sugar yield increase and sugar and dry matter content decrease in roots. In these experiments the lower critical and standard levels of nitrate nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium in indicatory parts of sugar beet plants and in soils were determined
