Technological value of three sugar beet varieties (PN Mono-1, PN Mono-3 and PN Mono-4) depending on density of plants and nitrogen fertilization was estimated in a field experiment. An over content of sucrose in the PN Mono-3 in relation of the PN Mono-1 variety has been found, what, however did not lead to any differences of the biological and technological yield of sucrose. Higher values of the sucrose yield were obtained in sowings at every 8 cm and 8 cm with subsequent thinning in relation to the sowing at every 15 cm owing to higher root yields.
