Comparison of productivity and economic effectiveness of different winter wheat production technologies

Effectiveness of 7 production technologies for winter wheat was compared in semi-commercial trials run over 3 years in a number of sites throughout the country. A technology with no chemical pest and diseases control was the cheapest but it can be used solely on good tilth soils and provided proper cultivation practices are strictly adhered to. The currently recommended technology was found to be the best with regard to productivity and economic indices
