Estrus synchronization and fertility rate following artificial insemination with deep frozen semen in cows

Estrus synchronization under hormone Prostaglandins (Trade name Lutalyse, Upjohn) in 14 healthy Brahman cows. Two intramuscular-injections of 25 milligrame/animal/time PGF2a at 11 (10 to 12) days-apart. Each animal was inseminated twice at 72 (70 to 72) hours and 90 (88 to 96) hours after the second PGF injection, with deep frozen semen from Salais and Charolais breed respectively. No oestrus dectection of observation was reguired. The fertility rate and birth rate of the cows were 11 from 14 heads (78.57 %).
