Biological and economic aspects concerning the use of somatotropic hormone in the rearing of domestic animals

The effect of the somatotropic hormone on the productivity of domestic animals is discussed on the basis of reference data and the authors' own investigations. High economic effect was observed in sheep, cattle, swine, etc. It is pointed out that the effect is highest in the production of cow milk. Male pigs treated with somatotropic hormone produced several times higher economic effect than the female pigs.
