Stem diameter distribution in a permanent sample plot of Nauclea diderrichii de Wild. in South-Western Nigeria [Weibull distribution]

The diameter distribution of Nauclea diderrichii plantation was modelled using the Weibull distribution function. The data used for the study were repeated measurements from a permanent sample plot monitored from 12 to 62 years. The Weibull parameters exhibited a strong linear relationship with the stand growth attributes. Mean spacing was found to be a very suitable predictor of the Weibull parameters. The stem frequencies by dbh classes for a 23-year-old plantation were computed to illustrate the applicability of the Weibull rihution function
