The dependence of barley corn yield upon liming frequency and norm

Investigating the optimal liming norm and freguency, seven long- lasting field experiments were laid down. Each dose of lime fertilizer given after the first liming has increased the yield of barley, though in some cases the increase has not been essential. Compared to nonlimed control liming has always risen the yield. Observing the case where lime fertilizers were given for four times half the norm, credible difference can be seen compared with the case limed only once with full norm. That shows the advantages of regular liming. The time of liming is important as well. In variant 7, full norm of lime fertilizer was applied later than in variant 5 and the effect was essentially better - the yield was considerably higher. This effect is somewhat smaller with repeated liming, but systematic liming creates perament conditions of good nutrient availability, thus enabling to receive stable high yields
