The topographical disorders of the bovine abomasum, seen more particularly in dairy cows, comprise one of the most common disorders of the digestive system nowadays. In the first part of this review the various predisposing and causative factors involved the aetiology of this condition are discussed. In the second part some methods for preventing or handling this condition are discussed.
