The study on the swimming crab monofilament gill net in the waters adjacent to Panimbang, West Java was conducted over the period February-March 1987. The results showed that the fishermen are still using the simple gear to catch swimming crab. The catch rate is 1,307-2,818 kg/piece/haul which can be increased by adding the numbers of gears
