The sanitation of some duck hatcheries and their environments mostly can influence the health of ducklings produced. In this paper was reported qualitative bacteriological examination of samples of dust and drinking water of ducklings, and quantitative bacteriology of the fluff samples. The samples were obtained from eleven hatchery farmers. The result indicated that in the samples of dust and drinking water were found Salmonella sp., Staphylococcus sp., Pseudomonas sp., Proteus sp., Escherichia coli and Citrobacter sp. Bacterial number of duckling fluffs from 11 farmers examined was 1.740.000-262.000.000 per gram. From the result can be concluded that Salmonella sp., Citrobacter sp., and Proteus sp. were contaminating the dust of hatcheries and dirty drinking water of the ducklings. The bacterial number of one gram of fluff exceeded the sanitation standard which is recommended, viz. 1000 in one gram of fluff
